Evangeline is an independent artist whose sound is slowly evolving from Indie-Rock into a fusion of Indie-Funk and Soul-Pop. Her music is shaped by her biggest influences such as: (Musical Hero) Hayley Williams, SAULT, Little Simz, Yebba, Jungle, Celeste, Ariana Grande, Arctic Monkeys, and Talking Heads. Blending these sounds has resulted in an upcoming album 👀 which is both rhythmically compelling and emotionally resonant.
At 17, her track ‘You in Blue’ was awarded Record of The Week on BBC Introducing in July 2018, and many of her other songs have since been featured on BBC Introducing Solent and West over the past few years. With each release, Evangeline continues to push creative boundaries, refining her sound while maintaining an undeniable emotional depth in her songwriting.
Her previous release, ‘24’, is a deeply personal reflection, written 24 days before the end of 2024 and 24 days before her 24th birthday. The song captures the humbling moment of recognizing one's own hidden hypocrisies—when the self-love-claiming side collides with the realization that maybe being alone isn’t as easy as it once seemed. Through powerful, soul-filled vocals, Evangeline narrates the weight of not only her relationships with others but the crucial importance of having a strong relationship with herself.
Her latest single 'What You're Givin'', narrates the common realisation that people you unknowing place on a pedestal, can often no longer step up to your self-loving plate anymore, once you realise your worth. The track is an energetic anthem for self reflection, love and just good vibes all round.
